Ring Around The Rosie
Ring Around The Rosie

How to use: Dilute 1 part EO to 4 parts nut or veggie oil. Almond, cherry and jojoba feel the best on skin. Because of the clove and cinnamon, there may be possible sun/skin sensitivity. Diffuse for 15 to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours. Dilute 1:15 in oil for a cleansing body massage. Put 4-8 drops on a cotton ball to freshen your car or house vents. Add 10 drops to 1-2 ounces of water to make a cleansing spritzer.

Cinnamon - (Cinnamomum zeylancium) essential oil smells like the ground spice with its warm, heady aroma. It blends with a wide variety of oil groups. A light floral top note, together with its full-bodied warmth, rounds off any citrus scent very nicely. This is an exceptional steam distilled cinnamon oil. It has powerful antiviral and antibacterial action.

Clove Bud (Eugenia caryophyllata) essential oil are a widely used spice and flavor ingredient and come from the clove tree, a medium sized evergreen plant native to Indonesia. Clove Bud oil is made from the immature buds; it is the safest type of clove oil. Jean Valnet, M.D., author of The Practice of Aromatherapy, wrote that clove oil can prevent contagious diseases. It is considered by many to be one of the most powerful antiseptic and antimicrobial of all essential oils.

The oil of this tree is well-known for its anti-infectious and wound healing properties. For hundreds of years, the Aborigines of Australia have used Eucalyptus leaves for their disinfectant value. Groves of these trees were planted in swampy areas of North Africa to halt the spread of malaria. Jean Valnet, MD, reported that 70% of airborne staph bacteria were killed when a 2% emulsion of Eucalyptus oil was used as a spray.

In his book Advanced Aromatherapy, Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt calls Eucalyptus radiata the number one, all purpose Eucalyptus oil.

Narrow Leaf essential oil has a more pleasing aroma than the more common Blue Gum Eucalyptus. Due to its pleasant smell and its valuable chemical constituents, this is my favorite Eucalyptus oil. Although it has strong antiviral properties, it is also gentler than Eucalyptus globulus, and therefore useful in aromatherapy preparations for children and the elderly.

Lemon - Essential Oil ( Citrus limonum ) helps to lift the spirits with its amazingly fresh, clean, zesty aroma. It is reputed to be a powerful antibacterial and to have the ability to stimulate production of white blood cells in the body, thus improving the body's ability to defend against infections. Lemon essential oil is also used to improve concentration and memory, strengthen circulation, support the immune system, and counteract acidity in the body.

This Rosemary essential oil is the chemotype 1,8 Cineole, especially useful against staph and strep bacteria. It is less camphorous than some other types of rosemary.
